Region 1 - Panhandle of Florida

Dear Region I Colleagues,

I am excited to serve the FL panhandle as Region I representative for a second year as we work together to “See the Possibilities and Expand Our Horizons.” I look forward to working with everyone, hearing your suggestions and receiving your feedback.

We are certainly facing new and different circumstances as we navigate our new normal amidst a global pandemic, however, Financial Aid administrators are no strangers to constant change and I have no doubt we will all  continue to find creative and innovative strategies to support our students and ensure success. FASFAA’s mission is to develop and maintain professional standards of financial aid administration, to promote cooperation and communication among its members, and to promote and endorse student financial aid programs that are consistent with good professional practice. This year FASFAA is offering many opportunities for workshops, professional development and a robust webinar series. I challenge each of us to take full advantage of these resources and become engaged in our association.

Please do not hesitate to contact me anytime you have questions or concerns, if you wish to volunteer or become more involved in FASFAA or if you just want to know more about FASFAA. I look forward to “seeing” everyone virtually at our fall workshop and I am hoping to see everyone in person again very soon.

 Best,

Shana Gore
